Montesorri Garden

For this garden our client wanted a child-friendly garden that would be fun, both for her own children and for a Montessori school which she runs from her home. Our client also wanted a place for grown-ups to entertain.

We designed a modern family garden with several sitting areas to suit morning and evening sun. Instead of hedging off a children’s play area, we mixed the garden with play stations.

We used artificial grass as it drains well, stop kids getting mucky and tramping mud through the house, and is usable year-round. In this garden, we added sheltered areas in the kitchen play station and playhouse for rainy days. We also installed a sandpit that is concealed beneath a sliding deck.
