Private Home South Dublin

This family home in South Dublin has a strong contemporary feel to make the modern build settle into its wrap around spacious site.

The main family gardens to the front and side have 2 large lawn areas with a granite-mowing border. There is a large granite terrace that wraps around the house. The boundary is planted with a tall Yew hedging and where more height is required to screen neighbouring properties lines of Carpinus Espaliers top the existing walls. The plantings areas in these gardens are framed with the clean lines of Buxus hedging and contain a composition of planting with varied texture, colour and shape.

To the rear of the house is a more formal private garden. This has a sunken garden with a central water feature. A water globe floating on a large bowl is the centrepiece of the garden. This is framed by tiered Buxus and Taxus hedging. Granite steps lead up to a wrap-around terrace. The upper garden is planted with Laurel and Anemones and framed with Taxus hedging and Carpinus Espaliers.
